Still here! But where is Spring?

March came in like a lion here.

So much on our plate here at TheBowtique house.

I started a long term teaching sub position until the end of May.

After being home for over 9 years,

I am learning to adjust our new schedules.

Most of the family was wiped out with a vicious stomach bug for a few days.

I can not remember the last time I was sick.

And with Mr Bowtique sick at the same time,

we were a sad lot here.

We also had a death in the family which adjusted our days for awhile too.

It was not a sudden passing, but sad all the same.

So at last we arrive to the last week of March.
We are still standing,
(apparently in the snow as there is no sign of sunny spring weather)
and I am happy to announce that I am finally catching up
to all things Bowtique related.

The turnaround times will be shortening very soon
(but I will keep the 4-7 days turnaround time for now to be safe).
And I hope to get all the new spring items up at the end of this week.

I also hope that the old saying is true-
If March comes in like a lion,
then it better go out like a lamb!!

9 years.

I can not believe another year has gone by.

I tucked my 8 year old daughter into bed tonight, but

when she wakes, she will wake up a 9 year old!

I am finding the birthdays a little harder this year.

Especially since I now have to ask her to bend down a bit

when I help braid her hair.

It seems that she will be taller than I am much, much too soon.

But despite her height,

she is and always will be

the teeny tiny crazy haired baby I first took home.

And it was from all that crazy, fluffy hair that I

took on a bow challenge.

And it was from that bow challenge, that I continues to try to ideas.

And it was from those ideas that The Bowtique

is what it is today.

All because of this tiny girl

and her crazy whispy hair.

What I do in my "spare time".

Firstly, haha.

Spare time is such a loose term to use. 

But when I have some, I find I am still putting time in to my bow obsession.

When I get the opportunity to do something local, I am all over it.

I love the town I live and I love to support local businesses!

This year, I decided to help my girl's school with their silent auction fundraiser.

This meant I could actually make something kind of cool and not worry about how to ship it.

So, I came up with a sort of flower/bow garden.

 seem to be all the rage in the hair accessory world-

So I came up with this:

It was much tougher than I thought to pick a few items to showcase

everything that I do here, but I am pretty happy with the end result.

I am hoping this will help raise a bit of money for their school!
